A cold dish I learned to make from my mother is cukie soup. Peel and slice garden cucumbers into a bowl. Add sour cream, vinegar and milk. Mix it up and stick it in the fridge. Add salt and pepper to taste. YUMMY!

Deborah , I learned this recipe from my Ukrainian grandmother. I don’t remove the entire peel before slicing. Leaving some intact gives the dish some color. I also add dry dill, not the seeds but the dried dill foliage.
