What is the name of a proposed disease characterized by an obsession with eating only healthy foods?

As a diabetic; I must eat healthy & take 5 insulin shots a day JUST to stay alive! This is something that has to be done by me!

Unless someone is having to restrict certain foodstuffs due to medical concerns, surely some degree of sensationalism due to media/social networking is a contributing factor to this, plus good old fashioned jumping on the bandwagon.

Michelle, while this doctor thoroughly agrees with getting rid of hyper processed, fake chemical food; you can’t do any type of diet to the point of malnutrition.

tia, absolutely right! It’s an offshoot of rumination and OCD. Except that the person is focused on “healthy” food. Other eating disorders are concerned with body image. The problem arises here with restricting eating healthy foods to a point that the patient is malnourished.
