DeMille was a great producer of epic films. My Maternal Grandfathers brothers worked for DeMille, one was a chauffeur, one managed his orchards and one managed his ranch in the San Fernando Valley foothills. We visited his ranch during the 1950's.

I was surprised that Ben Hur was not directed by De Mille. It is an epic movie along the same lines as The Ten Commandments.
