CyanJaguar62, I think in the dog’s early short appearances he was never named on screen but sort of informally referred to as Butch or Killer as a placeholder name. By the time he had an actual voice he was canonically named Spike. I think. Can’t say for sure, these cartoons were 30+ years old when I watched them as a kid!
