When my children were in elementary school, there mascot was a hedge hog. They had a live hedge hog in the main office, several over the years. The children would voted on names, Koosh, Pixie, prikles, just to name a few. The Secretary cared for the critters, and often visited the classrooms with the hedge hog in her pocket. They really are adorable little critters! 🐗

Had a hedgehog living in our back yard, Gave it water one day when it was at the brink of death. Named it Harris. Who would have thought hedgehogs love cat biscuits and their little teeth remind me of that of a piranhas.

i saw an echidna (almost exactly the same animal, but the Australian variant) just a couple of weeks ago when I went walking. it was so adorable. I've also stopped on a road to let a mother and baby cross right in front of me. Too cute for words!
