The hospital where I trained as a nurse was affiliated to the Australian army. Some nurses where sent to participate in Outward Bound ( part of the Duke of Edinburgh award) I was fortunate enough to be selected during my training and learned to abseil. I've since done it for charity three times.( In England) Down the Marks and Spencer building in Knaresborough, down the Knaresborough viaduct and down the How Stean gorge near Pateley Bridge. All places in North Yorkshire. Good fun after you take that first step over the edge.
