Alaska has a rich Russian history. So many churches, graveyards with little colorful mini burial houses remain despite the harsh weather. Vast territory. ❤

I lived in Sitka for awhile. It’s a beautiful place and they have a Russian Orthodox Church in the center of town. Lots of great history there.

If any of you fine people love travel, don't miss Alaska. It's beautiful and has a rich culture from the various Native populations. We've been there twice, once driving the Alaskan Hwy. Very memorable.

Sitka is not on the Aleutian chain, it's in the Panhandle.
