Alaska has a rich Russian history. So many churches, graveyards with little colorful mini burial houses remain despite the harsh weather. Vast territory. ❤

I lived in Sitka for awhile. It’s a beautiful place and they have a Russian Orthodox Church in the center of town. Lots of great history there.

If any of you fine people love travel, don't miss Alaska. It's beautiful and has a rich culture from the various Native populations. We've been there twice, once driving the Alaskan Hwy. Very memorable. Level 115

Sitka is not on the Aleutian chain, it's in the Panhandle.
