FightingGiant2078, Outer Banks of North Carolina. East End Long Island, NY. But thanks for doing research that Tom Baker should have done.

Aziraphale
figured it had to be the highest number
there are sand dunes a few miles from my house in Washington State (eastern side is arid shrub-steppe)

Lola
What about the entire coast line of Long Island NY which boarders the Atlantic Ocean from NYC to Montauk NY a span of approximately 90 miles… plenty of dunes… some of the nicest ocean beaches— with dunes—- I have seen anywhere..

It's Indiana, not Michigan

Thanks FightingGiant2078 for the information that should have been given in the answer. Without the information you provided, I would not have known the states that had dunes.

SQinfoNUTS
the information in the answer is not only incorrect but missing some of the states that have sand dunes.
