Jojoba oil which is widely used in cosmetics is extracted from which part of the plant?

Would rather use this instead of whale oil!

According to American jojoba farmers it IS NOT recommended as cooking oil. Not toxic at all, but indigestible. Zero food value. It would act as an intestinal lubricant. Edible,,,yes ,,,,though not advised..
