Which rare disorder results in trouble sleeping and death?

GruffSecretAgent9936, I don’t have insomnia but when I was in the army I went through a one month course. The last week was a no sleep, on-the-go week and by the third day we were all hallucinating while on patrols.

I suffer from insomnia and can attest to the hallucinations & confusional states but I eventually collapse into a coma.

I had a kind of insomnia for 6 months. I just could not sleep at regular times and messed my inner clock.

GruffSecretAgent9936, I too suffer from insomnia. It is horrendous. FFI terrifies me. Thank God I dont have that.

I just listened to a podcast about FFI, on Medical Mysteries. Fascinating story!
