What name is given to the 86 carat gem housed in Istanbul's Topkapi Palace Museum?

He took it to the market and an unscrupulous dealer told him it was a piece of glass and offered three spoons for it. There are other origin stories but I like this one. Pretty sure it is just a story though.

Please, more clarity on the name. If a small stone already bears the name why refer to this one incorrectly? And why is any huge diamond called "Spoonmakers".

Why is it called the Spoonmaker’s diamond ? Are spoons so prized in Turkey that they are paid for in huge diamonds?
