What does the Canadian motto "A Mari Usque ad Mare" mean?

It should be from Sea to sea to sea considering there's the Arctic Ocean as well as the Atlantic and the Pacific.

Latin and Latin root words begin to make sense if they are explained in the form of a story. We need to know about real people in real places performing activities that we are familiar with. Then things begin to make sense. I love a good story.

Took Latin for 5 years.It was the basis for the Romance languages, Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.

Never studied this my Canadian education....18 years. interesting...
