Carl Sagan was both brilliant and easy to understand.

He was a great scientist, writer, and Orator. He must have been fascinating in person. If anyone has not read the book "Comet" which he co-wrote with his wife, or maybe she was his significant other Ann Dryan(sp?), I strongly recommend it. They published in the mid-80's about the time of Halley's comet. Us Boomers will probably not live to see the next appearance or that of Heaven forbid Hale-Bopp. The Author's treatise on the Physics that you would experience on the surface if you landed on the surface and managed to live a few thousand years.

Loved the show growing up and I actually got to see Sagan speak at my college just a few years before he passed. Engineering school so I’m pretty sure every single person on campus turned out for it
