sup, Yes, I thought of that also. That song has been used in so many contexts, including cartoons. Many people probably don't know it was inspired by this occupation. The Burlaks (barge haulers) had incredibly hard lives. The Wikipedia article on them even has a photograph of women doing this work that most men would take a miss on today.
