a mechanic once told me that 1982 was the last model made with a carburetor. So this 1984 model became the first year of the fuel injection engine for the corvette.

So funny about Riverside Raceway! I never knew about the Corvette's press release there, despite being born & raised in Riverside. I was 16 in 1982. One truly does learn something new everyday!

My first car was a used 1973 Vega ( paid $ 600 cash for it ) it had 80,000 miles on it ,used a lot of oil, but couldn't complain ,filled it up for $ 5 dollars regular gas. I t ran on any fuel except kerosene , and diesel ⛽. traded it in with 150,000 miles and got $ 1200. for it. I loved 😍 that 🚗 !

I used to live in Daytona. You're right, it is amazing. They have every year Corvette except the 1983. That's how I got the question right. It used to be a regular car museum, though. I'm glad I see that before it only had Corvettes.
