On a French menu, what are 'cuisses de grenouille'?
Correct answer: Frogs' legs
Taramaiden
it's getting harder to find them in France and rightly so. The cruelty involved in getting them is unspeakable and causes a long, slow agonising death. Not to mention the drastic ecological damage it's doing. Frogs consume pestilential insects, which are now drastically increasing in numbers and decimating crops.... all for something that tastes like chicken.

They are often skinned, and have their snouts and rear legs cut off with scissors or a blade while still alive. Their torsos are then tossed aside in a pile of other bleeding frogs and they endure a slow death. Frogs captured for live trade may be stuffed into bags or kept in unsanitary and overcrowded conditions until purchased for consumption.🐸

happydoghappycat, I did not know that. There is no need for cruelty in 2023!
