Player #96919, I agree with you I went there too and found it fascinating we only had a few hours as we we in a cruise ship, I would love to go again and spend longer there.

I went to Italy in August and went to Pompeii. What a fascinating but very emotional place it is. It's a huge place. we only got to see a small part of it in the few hours that we were there and to think of the enormous devastation Vesuvious caused is mind blowing.

I've been to Pompeii twice & felt overwhelmed on both occasions. It is a soleum experience & I would have loved to see it in all its glory. Nature is a cruel beast at times when we think about the devastation it has caused over time & to this day.
