ManCity, I don't think it is right to say that this is his best film. He is a wonderful actor, he played great characters in many movies, to be fair.🙂

The literary experts say that Harper Lee wrote the book, not her dear friend and celebrated author Truman Capote. Pity she did not write more. The book was very well received but the impact of the movie can not be overstated. Truly a hinge point in American culture

When I first read it, I was not expecting it to be funny. It is.

RushMama2112 & Mars V, I thought it was meant to be a prequel, as in the original saying: "Go set a watchman to kill a mockingbird" I haven't read it but if it's just a rough draft then I probably won't bother. Thanks for the heads up.

RushMama2112, That’s because it wasn’t a sequel. It was an early draft being promoted as a sequel as a scam.

The character Dill is based on Truman Capote. Harper Lee and Truman Capote or childhood friends.

Recently read the "sequel, " Go Set A Watchman. I understand why Ms. Lee preferred it to not be published. Not that it's bad - Lee did write it after all - but it was superfluous. It didn't really add much to Scout's story.
