Which of these dental specialties is concerned with the study and treatment of the dental pulp?

I did not get it right and I read the article, honestly, but I don't get it...I am amazed about Gingivitis (gum disease), I read that if you do not care for teeth nor gums it may lead to heart disease...Such a downer, sorry. Brush your teeth and floss them!
