At over $100 per ticket, plus the cost of food, etc., I will probably never go back even if I am only an hour away.

Momma Mo4u, I don’t know about Disneyland, but I live near Disney World and can also testify that you CAN bring food and drinks into ALL of its parks. I’ve also done this many times. It’s also inexpensive to rent lockers to keep food cool and not have to carry it around all day until you get hungry.

gamelvr, E tickets were the best (all rides - unlimited). I know! I was born in Glendale/Burbank in 1968. A few family members worked at the Burbank Studios. Without those E tickets, I would have never passed Algebra!! LOL 😂

Remember seeing a film on I believe the Disney channel a long time ago showing Walt Disney walking through undeveloped overgrown land and surveying it. At the end they show you the miracle of brand new Disneyland just before it opened in1955 and one of the speakers was Walt's pal actor Ronald Reagan.

Player Mama P, Aside from the expensive food at Disneyland, the entrance is ridiculously high!! Even if you take your own food, it's way overpriced to attend. I probably will never go back. Too much greed for my taste!

Two things; when I was stationed at Ft. Ord in 1967, I spent a weekend in Anaheim. Saturday morning, I drove to Disneyland early to avoid the crowds. I didn't realize that it didn't open for a few hours, so I took a walk around the outside perimeter. It took me just over one-half hour. So much fun packed into such a small space! The other thing is that I went to High school who played Cinderella at Disneyland. She has to wear a blonde wig to cover her black hair!

ObnoxiousFire174, you’re not alone. Between the cost for tickets, food and parking I’m DONE with Disney. There’s a whole big world out there that isn’t artificial.

I lived near Disneyland when I was growing up. I remember seeing the Matterhorn and Monorail being built. We used to ride the hotel tran back and forth to the front gate. (probably drove the workers crazy) It cost 60 cents to get in. Then you had to have a ticket for each ride.

Nolan Void, the original name of the mouse was Mortimer... Walt's wife encouraged him to change it to Mickey. When the couple were down and poor Walt had a mouse that he fed crumbs to. A kind man, always. look it up 👍🐁🐀🐁

Player Mama P, not at Disney land. There's nothing inexpensive about Disney Parks. Last time I was at Disney land was in 1978 and it was expensive even then. I has a Disney Club Membership through my Credit Union which made it better, if your not well to do there is no way anyone can afford it.

Living in Miami Florida, going to Disney World every year for six years wasn't very costly in travel, and the original ticket book was a reasonable price. We stayed in the park at various locations and truly had fun. But, although the fun remained, other costs went beyond our means. My father and I went for a sort of farewell trip the Christmas after my mother died. It was a bittersweet trip but wonderfully memorable. I'm unlikely to be able to return, but I'm thankful for the "magic ".
