Player #6173858, I am the daughter of a dairy farmer, and grew up drinking unpasteurized milk, along with my 4 siblings, with no ill effects.

Player #6173858, Curtis Brown is a famous chef but in his first TV ad he took a rack of lamb out of the oven, carved it and the blood poured out. I wouldn't touch anything he cooked.

SusieQ1477,
Then your farmer parent was good at animal husbandry as it states from infected animals. Not every cow or herd suffers from brucellosis.
Although Monty Python would probably say every Australian one does (see the Bruce Sketch)

Player #31999038, Sorry but you are wrong. NHS states that "Brucellosis is mainly caught by drinking milk or eating dairy products made from milk from infected animals that has not been pasteurised (heat-treated to kill bacteria).
In rare cases you can also catch brucellosis from:
eating contaminated raw or undercooked meat
contact with bodily fluids of infected farm animals such as cows, goats, sheep and pigs, or infected dogs.

Don't believe this is correct. Brucellosis is a respiratory infection animals can get.
