The Philippines learned these rituals from the Catholics. Catholicism started in Italy, which means, therefore; long Christmas celebrations started with the Italians. This should be corrected. I know I am Italian and spent 4 months from December to April. Christmas was going on when I got there and the celebration did not stop until February.
