What is the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair called?

I have alopecia and just gave up and shaved it all off! I'm going to buy a wig or 2, purely because I've always had alt colours and cuts, and I'm so bored of it like this lol.

Sharon, as a hairstylist as far as I know there’s no cure for this awful condition! And unfortunately it’s made worse by stress, worry,age or bereavement! Perhaps shaving it of may help you relax to this condition ❤️❤️
