Player #2468635, LT Murphy was the most decorated in WWII. You have to remember we have been in several wars since then. Remember Chris Kyle, American Sniper? The Islamic Radicals set him up to be killed on his own turf. A fatwah is never recinded. I would call him a great American Hero, though he never achieved the fame of Murphy. Because of LT Audie Murphy, it was my dream to join the military. I did at the end of Vietnam so was only peacetime. Being DOD US Air Force Reserves wasn't quite my dream, but with two young children I did the best I could and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Audie’s picture of him in his full dress uniform appeared on the cover of Life Magazine and was seen by James Cagney who encouraged him to come out to Hollywood and try acting. Cagney paid for acting and speech lessons and helped him get his first few movie roles. Audie Murphy made over 50 movies, had his own TV series for one year called, “Whispering Smith” and was a guest celebrity on “What’s My Line.

it takes someone with a lot of Courage to do something like that I have so much respect for people who serve our country you have no idea how much I looked up today on this because they had really no choice someone truly need an army of people to something like that has a lot of heart and care for other people Conrad's leave no man standing behind you know I have much respect and I want to thank you for your bravery and he deserves to have a hospital named after him in the Medal of Honor well deserved plus I think he should have got more I'm sorry if it wasn't for our soldiers in our veterans the president would even have issues so I think that they are so misunderstood in mistreated they deserve so much more he put his life on the line to serve and Protect and stand up for his country and do things that normal people these days would not even dare think about doing takes a lot for someone to lead an Army to safer grounds that takes a lot of Courage and talent and in bravery to do something like that because unless you have been there and walked in the shoes and experienced the experiences that they seen and had to do that it's undescribable and unimaginable the fear. just a thought terrifying. being a hunter it probably helped him a lot on knowing sounds and what to look it's just like hurting but the animals shoots back. ur life or their's.

Audie Murphy was brilliant in John Huston's "The Unforgiven" (1960). He uttered one of my favorite lines in an unforgettable scene at the family's table: "Hell-fire, Ben! There's only three of them. We can kill them "before" breakfast!"
