PeacefulRecourse7, Me too & now after wearing glasses for 70 years, I only need cheaters of 2.0 for close work. I used to have to wear glasses from the moment out of bed until back to bed at night. Is'nt science great?

I had a cataract removed and they replaced the lense with an artificial one. I used to have 20/450 vision in that eye (super nearsighted) now it is 20/20! I call it my "bionic eye".

My sister-in-law had to have two removed last year. I figure I'll get them eventually. Good to know the surgery is easy and quick.

My great-grandmother had cataracts which caused her blindness. I remember when I was a little girl seeing her clouded eyes. She lived to be around 95, but stayed in bed so many years that she was unable to walk.
