Which device was the first to be able to reproduce the recorded sound?

I have an amazing sound system with a very expensive record player,speakers, etc. a treat for myself, saved up for it over the years

Cookie Bean, With all of the advancements in technology & improvements made, in even in say the last 5 years, to stereo equipment & recording techniques & sound/music/Etc., has become more sophisticated & upgraded. The quality & clarity of it all has become a beautiful, blissful experience & rather expensive nowadays. Not like the simple record players of the past; not by a long shot!
