GudVybzOnli, my husband also has suffered from hand tremors for years. A few years ago, he was told he had Parkinson's but a year later he was told that he hadn't got it but as to date, hasn't been given any other explanation.

My wife suffers from what doctors call "essential tremors". They make it very difficult for her to perform fine motor skills such as writing and other tasks that require a steady hand. No one has been able to explain to me where the term "essential" came from as they are certainly not "essential" to her existence.

I have tremors due to a Neurological Disorder called Essential Tremor. I take meds to minimize/eliminate the tremors but I lose my balance often and need to use a shopping cart, cane or wall, to steady my gait.

StirCrazy, I was watching a TV programme about a guy who had tremors. Doctors inserted probes into his brain and linked him to an app on his phone which dampened his tremors by about 95%. They hope in time that this can be rolled out to other sufferers.
