Which class do manatees belong to?

I have to disagree with the comment that they are mostly solitary. I live in Florida & always see them pods and they seem very social & curious with each other and humans.

The name we use for a hippopotamus in my language, translates to "sea cow". I had to google to see what a manatee looks like. They are so much cuter than hippos!
