Correct answer: Basset Hound

The family that lives across the street from me when I was growing up had a Basset named Tinkerbell. She was very friendly and would dash across the street when she saw us. Dash is a misnomer, but would rarely even make it all the way across. Usually we'd meet her halfway and we would have to urge her to go back. Stubborn? She would lay down and roll on her back, right in the middle of the street. Thankfully, we were always successful in the end.

millwallmarty, I promise you they're rabbit dogs. That's the reason they run in circles. Rabbits will run in circles looking to make a break for it!
