How old was Vincent van Gogh when he died?

I did not know that was how he died.

His is such a sad story. He only sold one painting during his lifetime. He suffered a lot mentally.

An Icon gone far too soon.. his paintings yiu always take a second and third look. They just so amazing..

I am pretty sure that the man was schizophrenic. His artwork tells the story quite graphically.

lynda, he suffered severe mental health problems. In his lifetime, he sold only one of the many paintings that he had done. He considered himself to be a failure. Perhaps the physical pain from actually shooting himself was more than he could bear. Weapons in those days did not easily reload, so he probably did not have more ammunition. Thus his decision to seek help.
