Gargantuanalien047, ginger beer is a non-alcoholic drink like ginger ale, but with more flavor and less sugar.

ok I thought beer & ginger ale was ginger beer. I love Ginger Ale. I love Lemonade. And I love beer. But adding anything into beer but more beer is a sad thing. 😔. Especially quality beer. 👌.

In Australia and NZ a shandy (never called a lemon shandy - ever) is beer and lemonade. It was originally made for women as it was a lighter sweeter drink than straight beer, with less alcohol, to be consumed in the lady's lounge in the pub.

Sounds like a solution for folks who don't care for the taste of beer, which begs the question, "why not just drink lemon-lime soda?" Why not, indeed.
