The full name of MSG, used as a flavour enhancer is 'Monosodium ...' what?
Correct answer: Glutamate

MSG occurs naturally within the body. For most, MSG has very little effect, in part because it's essentially the same as a substance that the body produces naturally. The amino acid glutamic acid, which accounts for the bulk of MSG, is one of the ten amino acids that human cells make on their own.

Gives me hives! Allergic to it.
Miancee22
MSG gives me instant, banging headaches and makes me swell up till my skin feels too tight for my body - especially on my hands and face - look like I've gone a round or two with a pro boxer. If I eat it, I can't get my rings off my fingers and I need to drink litres of water all through the night but don't pass any till the next day. Surely something that can do this to you shouldn't be allowed to be used in food?!?
