Player #12492775, you can't run with the ball in basketball either, you can dribble with it, but you can't carry it. not until you reach the end bit, then you can shoot the ball into the basket

this sounds like a sport they played in high school in iowa,usa years ago. the only difference i can remember is i think they played with six players (3 in the front court and 3 in the back court) it was called girls basketball . that is all i can remember from a story in a magazine ,sports illustrated , about 1985.
