My maiden name was Barkley, my mom, who was a substitute teacher had a student who went home one day to tell his parents that Mrs. Barkley from “The Big Valley” was his sub teacher that day. Nevermind my mother had coal black hair and Barbara Stanwyck was Blonde on this show. The mother did call the school to ask if this were true. Lol
