The story goes that god gave each animal a plant, the hyena was given the baobab tree which it planted upside down for fun and that's how the hyena got it laugh and the tree's branches look like roots

We use Baobab. I just order it from Amazon. Its a barely processed form of Pure Vit C. They basically just shake the granules from the fruit pods. Its tasty and so nutritious! I can’t over recommend it!

I vaguely remember reading about this tree somewhere, but didn't know about the edible fruit or nut or whatever it is. I'm curious as to why the part that can be eaten hasn't been grown commercially, or at least grown privately for food. Anybody out there care to comment. Maybe I'll "Google" it.

Its dried fruits tastes so nice, it is one of the most popular trees in northern Ghana, we had some on our farm even though we aren't in the north but in the middle belt. Our university uses it as our symbol.
