Yes , grapefoincreases the effectiveness of numerous medications including statins I believe. I used to love half a grapefruit for bread but sadly no more.

Never seen a red grapefruit. We don't have them in West Africa. Ours are mostly yellowish white

We grow them in Puerto Rico and called them "Toronjas", there sour and delicious, good with Whiskey!
