Prissy, "Helios, in ancient Greek religion, is the sun god—he travels across the sky every day, riding in a golden chariot drawn by a team of four, winged steeds. ... Helios was the son of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and the god of the sun, whose sisters were Selene and Eos. Apollo was god of light, and son of Zeus and Leto, and brother of Artemis." 😉

PersnicketyUncle7425, Per Wikipedia Apollo and Helios is the same person. His full name and Greek GOD of the sun Apollo Helios. His sibling Artemis is the Greek GOD of the moon. Before this question I had the same basic question but the answer was Helios so when Helios wasn't in this list, I looked it up. Shady Shady question, definitely tricked me. 😠😠😠😠

Prissy, Helios was technically a Titan and Apollo was a god. They are different generations of the immortal beings.

It's generally accepted nowadays to say that Apollo took Helios's title as god of the sun. Helios was the titan who represented the sun. But when the titans where beat Apollo took over. So the Greek GOD of the sun is Apollo because Helios is a titan.

Prissy, Wikipedia is clearly a bad source of info Helios it much different then Apollo, Apollo is the god of light, music, poems, and plagues (though he was the father of the worlds greatest doctor) Helios drives the sun across the sky which is a job that Apollo latter takes

Tricky question indeed! I was surprised to not find Helios on the list, knowing it from the discovery of helium being made from our sun via spectral analysis. But I guessed correctly anyways.
