Amazing place, went there whilst touring NZ in 2005

This is not far from where I grew up. There are lots of caves with glow-worms, rivers, wetas, stalagmites and stalagmites all around there but just the 2 (biggest) are open for tourists.

Tina's twin, I was in the back pasture one evening, late summer, early autumn, dark, when we noticed that the ground was studded with stars, like lightening bugs but on the ground. This is Central Missouri, USA. I had lived there sixty years then. Grandchildren and I gathered some small jars, collected up some specimens, took them to Mo Dept of Conservation next day. Glowworms. The agent said that the weather had to be just right, temp, humidity, etc. for them to breed. Never saw them again. Learn something new everyday.
