Which eating disorder is characterized by low weight, food restriction and a strong desire to be thin?

I seem to remember hearing Karen Carpenter had this disease so sad she was so talented. I’ve seen a current affairs program once where twin sisters were afflicted with this anorexia for 20 yrs so so sad they just couldn’t get over it. Both men & women are afflicted though predominantly the latter. Mental health issues come in so many guises I believe we need to let go of stigma in order to progress further as self aware educated human beings.

For some no doubt it is about control but for others it can and is about body image.
