On the territory of which country was Khe Sanh Combat Base located?

I served there a nurse in the USA 🇺🇸 Army,,74 years old now and still cry at times when I’m alone,,thinking about that war and so many young people, mostly boys who were there with me, ,,cannot watch war movies anymore,,otherwise I’m doing pretty good,,be 75 soon,,
