Lunarsea, you are correct. In fact, its part of THE LAW in order to gain citizenship. My mother was a first generation immigrant and came into this country properly by learning the constitution and by learning the English language.

America is a county of different people who speak different language, English can't be their official language cause of the ethnicity, cultures traditions etc. In my country English is our official language but most people don't recognize it at all.
