Player #19942154, Sounds like one of the old Disney films where they re-cut and re-interpreted animal behaviour to make it 'entertaining' and with no concern for what the creatures were really doing.

For example they are hierarchical and the senior females in the clan are utterly ruthless in protecting their own young: they will confiscate food from others to feed theirs and regularly kill the young of more junior females, to ensure the superior positions of their own. Not like elephants.

Typically African savanna inhabitants. Nowhere better to experience the wild than in South Africa!

I do "night work," and when I drive down this hill in the middle of the night, I always see this group of meerkats by the side of the road looking over the concrete embankment watching the cars go by. They really are a bunch of wacky dudes. I bet they're fun to party with...
