Field Hockey was once called National Sport of my country India as it won 8 Olympic gold medals (1 in shooting so total 9 overall Gold Medals).... Mostly the team was filled by great renowned Sikh Olympian legends like Balbir Singh Dosanjh,Ajithpal Singh Kular,Udham Singh Kular,Surinder Singh Sodhi,Prithipal Singh Randhawa,Surjit Singh Randhawa,Gurmeet Singh Kular. Now field hockey is struggling in Punjab,India due to cricket obsession so we no more produce Olympic medals
