Which person is the only Nazi Party member to be buried on Mount Zion, a hill in Jerusalem, Israel?
Correct answer: Oskar Schindler
RISSER11
My Grandfather worked on a fishing vessel and lived with my grandmother in Denmark. Nazis were coming into and taking over Denmark so they decided to escape to Sweden. Grandpa hid grandma, who was pregnant with my father, in the bottom of the boat amongst the fish. I recently learned he risked his own life not only hiding grandmother but also several Jews as well!
Ediona
He was one of the few declared as "Righteous among the Nations", an honor given to people who aided and facilitated the saving of Jewish lives during WWII.
Karen
such a sad and terrible time in earth's history

So many of the comments here are amazing and truly heartfelt. I cannot understand why anyone would thumbs down them.

There are angels among us.
Tanya
purplewaterfalls, it truly was a gruesome time, but people still acted to save those being singled out for destruction. Their putting their own lives at risk to help others is such a brave and noble bright spot in an otherwise dark chapter of history.

Schindler's List is one of my favorite movies. Oskar Schindler's conscious effort for wanting to save as many Jews knowingly that he himself could have suffered the same
same fate too.

808stevan1, I am amazed, that there are so many individuals, who claim that the holocaust never happened. I think of the film footage made by soldiers, when they liberated Nazi prisoners and how they were barely alive; worse was the film footage of endless piles of dead emaciated humans, being dumped into mass graves. Yet, there are people who claim this is only propoganda.

MathematicalDragon11, apparently you don't. The operative word is NATIONALIST
"In its intense nationalism, mass appeal, and dictatorial rule, Nazism shared many elements with Italian fascism. However, Nazism was far more extreme both in its ideas and in its practice. In almost every respect it was an anti-intellectual and atheoretical movement, emphasizing the will of the charismatic dictator as the sole source of inspiration of a people and a nation, as well as a vision of annihilation of all enemies of the Aryan Volk..."

jayzee, Actually, the Anti-Holocaust movement began shortly after the end of WWII. It was led in the US by two American Nazis. There were no computers, skinheads, or Photoshop then, just the same old hate.
Mars V
Loren, Nazis and haters thumbs down these great stories! Inbred clan members!
jayzee
When Photoshop became an international tool for editing photos and was a tool to create all kinds of alterations to historical events, was when the NeoNazi movement began the propaganda that the Holocaust was invented rather than a real historical event. They insist that all of the evidence of the holocaust was made up and produced to instigate hatred of the German and Aryan race. And, of course, they, like all recists, believe that they are the only true race that deserve to be preserved and be the rulers of the world by destroying all other "inferior" races. History repeats itself ever since humans have existed. Some Christians hate Jews because they are responsible for Christ getting crucified. The Jews at the time did not believe Christ was the Messiah prophisied to come and liberate them in the Old Testament. The original settlers in North America began the holocaust of 500 Indigenous Nations.
jayzee
QuackingRuffian14987, It's because at the time of Christ, the Christians believe that it was the Jews who demanded that Pontius Pilot have Christ crucified by trading him for a Jewish prisoner.

r, Prisons are where they keep some of society's worst parasites. People who are in "The System" pretty much from puberty to death. People who cost hardworking taxpayers millions of dollars through decades of police, jail, court, and prison costs. A forced labor camp works people to death; comparing our prisons to that is ludicrous.

Loren, The "thumbs down" people believe that everyone else thinks like they do, but if you compare the number of thumbs up, to the " downers", it restores your faith in humanity!

Player #15121014, I agree. I personally walked within Auschwitz near Krakow Poland, in the gas chambers, saw soap made from oil from humans, lamp shades of human skin, and many other horrible evidences of the Nazi torturing of the Jews. it angers me greatly to hear someone deny the Hocaust.
Anna Scar
Player 15121014 this answer is for your comment. You should know that Germany did not teach anything about the Nazi movement nor the holocaust until 1960 and then only in passing. For 2 school hours a week for history in general. The topic was never discussed. Anywhere. It was taboo.
So Germany had generations of citizens that didn’t even know what Jews were. Most thought they were from another country. So yes they didn’t know the Holocaust ever happened and that their c
ountry and citizens were responsible. Be aware they didn’t only have Jews in those concentration camps. They had citizens from many European countries
