HAL 9000 - both spellings are correct. Also, any mollusK, or mollusC, depending where you're from, that produces nacre can produce pearls. Scottish freshwater mussels produced some of the most covetable pearls, until they were exploited to bejesus and back. Now no one can enjoy them.
