Prejudice is born of ignorance & fear. It is more a product of nurture, as opposed to nature. A waste of time & effort.

I was once a supervisor at a sheltered workshop for the mentally handicapped. One of my staff, who was the daughter of a university professor, was pleasant and respectful towards me until she learned I was from a blue collar background. After she learned I was from a "lower class", any respect she had towards me vanished.
