The Al Pacino film "Any Given Sunday" is about which sport?

One of Pacino's best! But really, he's great in everything.

I remember when this came out, as the title is similar to a motorcycle film released in 1971 titled "On Any Sunday". It starred legendary rider Malcolm Smith.

Have no idea about American Football, but enjoyed the film.
