I’ve had the theory that Scheherazade and Esther from the Bible were the same person.
If a beautiful Jewish girl was rounded up with all of the other young pretty girls to Mary the sultan she certainly would not, for her personal safety, have used a Jewish name and would have taken a Persian name for her own protection. Persian women were cloistered and not allowed to speak to men.
Sheherazade is the person who told all of the stories about Sinbad and Ali Baba. Where would a Persian girl get the background information for those stories? A Jewish girl who grew up in a fishing village would more likely have access to the background information to weave the Scheherazade stories. There was no TV in those days so those 1001 Arabian Nights stories had to be captivating to the Sultan.

You have quite the imagination, and funny too, you should start writing your own stories about Jews. 😉
