Okay, so I did some research into the discrepancies here and this is what I found. The amount of time camels can go without water depends upon the season because of how they regulate their body temperature. In cooler seasons they can go months without drinking, but im hot weather they may need to drink as often as every 5 days. It's very risky for giraffes to drink because of crocodiles and they are able to get a lot of the water they need from their diet. So they've evolved to drink only rarely and quite a lot on those few occasions. So, in the same heat that camels require frequent drinks, giraffes are able to go for weeks without water.

Hey everyone, remember "garbage in, garbage out." Your internet sources are only as good as the person that put the information in. We know that not everybody does due diligence when researching and entering data.

Honestly info on the internet is very confusing. One article i read said giraffes can go longer and that camels actually can only go about two weeks without water, and then in the same article it says camels can go over two months. I think its based on whether or not you like camels more or just want to contradict conventional wisdom.

Player Scandali, we're unique in the fact we're human "beings", not just mammals, Some of us do believe in intelligent design, and not evolution.

Montana Lady, Good info on drinking of water and how often. But how do you know they evolved, but simply were created that way?

Giraffes aren’t going without water because they are getting it in their food. H2O is the same no matter where it comes from.

LOL. What it should have asked was, "What animal can go without water longer than a camel?" Because, ". . longer than a camel without water" is related to, "This morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas, I don't know".

The giraffe is an African artiodactyl mammal, the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant. It is traditionally considered to be one species, Giraffa camelopardalis, with nine subspecies. Colors The coat has dark blotches or patches (which can be orange, chestnut, brown, or nearly black in colour) separated by light hair (usually white or cream in colour.) Male giraffes become darker as they age Heart Pregnancy The average gestation for a giraffe calf is approximately 15 months, so Ellie and Julu are nearly there! As we inch closer to their much-anticipated deliveries, Zoo fans may be wondering who will give birth first. Because Ellie and Julu became pregnant around the same time, it will be neck and neck! Adaptations Animal adaptation. Giraffes are well adapted to a life in a savannah. They drink water when it is aivailable but can go weeks without it, they rely on morning dew and the water content of their food. Their very long necks are an adaption to feeding at high levels in the treetops. How can giraffes live? Giraffes live up to 26 years in the wild and slightly longer in captivity. Giraffes prefer to eat new shoots and leaves, mainly from the thorny acacia tree. ... Giraffes obtain most water from their food, though in the dry season they drink at least every three days

Not a fair comparison! Camels survived without any water or food for longer times while giraffes got there water from there food... well, human beings can survive for a good amount of time without drinking water by eating cucumbers or coconut milks...etc
