There was a woman who would show up at my father's family funerals and wail while holding onto my father. No one knew who she was, or how she knew the family. I think she would just come because she liked funerals. Daddy hated having her latch onto him and wail.

there are also people who just enjoy a funeral. My mother's funeral was also attended by 3 or 4 old ladies, sitting discreetly at the rear of the church. They definitely did not know Mum.
